FAQ

Children are welcome but must stay in close proximity to their guardian at all times. If you’re thinking of bringing little ones, we suggest Sundays.
We will happily assist in swapping tickets to alternate days with a minimum of 14 days notice. Please note, this is subject to availability and will incur a small administration fee of $5.
A variety of food will be on offer, and the kitchen will do its best to accommodate dietary needs. Please understand that nuts, wheat, seafood, soy product and other allergens are prepared on site, and cross contamination may occur. Please let staff know of your requirements at the time of ordering.

Unfortunately tickets are non-refundable. Tickets can be exchanged for a different day with 14 days notice, subject to availability.

No – entry is included for Full Membership only.

First-release presale tickets include a commemorative half-litre stein for you to use and keep.

During the event you can refill your stein by purchasing jugs. Otherwise all Bier will be served in biodegradable cups.

For $10 we’ll swap your stein for a clean one.

Drinks will be served in biodegradable cups for those patrons who have not received a complimentary stein with their entry ticket.

Ja!

You can upgrade your stein from 500ml to 1,000ml for $10 (subject to availability), or purchase outright for $25 each.

All tables are on a first in, best dressed basis. Rest assured though, with the event going throughout the day we find groups come and go. Just keep your eyes peeled and a spot will pop up!

Unfortunately, there will not be patron car parking available at the club on event days, but parking is available on the surrounding neighbourhood streets. There is also a number of public transport options which service nearby the Brisbane German Club, so you can save the search and enjoy your time.

No.

Takeaway sales are not permitted on event days, sorry.

No, sorry. They are too complicated on festival days and get in the way of having fun!

However, you can pre-purchase bar credit in the form of voucher(s) that we’ll have ready for you at entry on your chosen day which just need to be scanned at the main bar to be used.

Head on over to https://oktoberfest-brisbanegermanclub.square.site/ once you’ve purchased your entrance tickets for all the options and details.

Yes, you can! Get in early and secure your ticket at the door on the day of the event – limited tickets are available so first in, best dressed.

Door prices will be $20 on Saturdays from 11:00 am, $15 Saturdays from 5:00 pm, and $15 on Fridays and Sundays.

Entry will also be subject to the venue capacity at the time, so a short delay may be experienced.

If this doesn’t suit, we recommend purchasing tickets for another fun-filled day.

Have questions, ja?

If there’s any information we can help you with, please let us know.
We’ll get back to you as soon as we can!

About Brisbane German Club Oktoberfest 2024

About Brisbane German Club Oktoberfest 2024

Originating in Munich, Oktoberfest has been an annual highlight of The Brisbane German Club since 1975. It has run every year since except 2020 (thanks, Covid). From humble beginnings on club-owned land in Thornlands, the festival now expands throughout the Vulture Street Clubhouse, Bierhalle and Biergarten.

This year, in 2024, Oktoberfest is bigger and better than ever. As the 50th Oktoberfest of the Brisbane German Club, the event will include traditional German food, entertainment, merchandise, games, and activities.

Running over every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October, each of the 12 event days promise to be different from the next, with a unique schedule each day.
